View Provider Signoff Details from Encounter History
You can view the current signoff details and comments from the previous provider for a pending, rejected, or signed off PAQ item. You can add new provider signoff comments only if the selected item is signed off or rejected. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list.A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select Chart.The Encounter History tab opens, with the item selected is attached to. Select the button. Select the item to view the current signoff details and comments, and select the button. Select Provider Sign-off Details.The Provider Sign-off Details window opens. The window shows the current signoff status, the rendering provider, the reassigned provider, if applicable, and comments. Before you begin You must use the latest version of SAP® Crystal Reports®. You can view the current signoff details and comments from the previous provider for a pending, rejected, or signed-off PAQ item on the Encounters or Categories tab for a selected patient document, image, SAP® Crystal Reports®, or HTML object. You can add the provider sign-off comments for a signed-off or rejected PAQ item. The added comments are displayed in the Communication Component grid. If the PAQ Copy Signoff Comments preferences are turned on, any comments you enter for a document, or image linked to a lab or radiology order are copied to the Sign-off and Tracking Comments section of the order in the Orders module. Copying Signoff Comments from PAQ to Linked Orders
Two PAQ general preferences are set by default to copy signoff comments to linked lab orders or to linked radiology orders but can be turned off. If the Copy Signoff Comments preferences are turned on, any PAQ comments you enter for a document or image result that is linked to a lab or radiology order are copied to the Sign-off and Tracking Comments section for the order in the Orders module. You can enter comments for a linked Document Management image or a NextGen® Enterprise EHR image, a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine document, or a NextGen® Enterprise EHR document. You can add comments in the PAQ before you sign off the pending item in the PAQ or after you sign off using the blue check mark in a document. After you sign off or reject an item, you can add comments from the Provider Sign-off Details window in the Encounters and Categories tabs. Set up a Provider Assignment and Relationship
To enable users to properly work with the PAQ and be able to sign off on items such as documents and images, you must set up the provider assignment and provider relationship. Access System Administrator. Select the User in the enterprise practice to set up a provider assignment. To assign to the selected user, from the Assigned Provider list on the General tab, select the Provider. The providers listed are those selected as rendering providers at this practice on the Practice tab of the Add/Modify Provider Information window in File Maintenance. From the Provider Relationship list on the General tab, select Self. If necessary, enter a date in the Provider Start Date and Provider End Date for the specific relationship you have selected. Set Up Provider Assignment and Relationship

To set up provider assignment, in System Administrator, select the user that you want to set up a provider assignment for. Add Sign-off Comments for Lab or Radiology Orders from the Orders Summary Tab
You can add sign-off comments to an order at any point in the order life cycle, such as when creating or updating an order. After an order is signed off, you can still add tracking or additional sign-off comments. The system also displays any sign-off comments that a provider entered in the PAQ. You can also add sign-off comments from a custom practice template with an Orders Management order control. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order without a Signed-off status on the grid. To add a comment, select the Tracking tab. The Sign-off and Tracking Comments window opens. To indicate the type of comment, select Sign-off. Enter your comments for the order. If applicable, select My Phrases to select an appropriate phrase. Do one of the following: To simply save the comments, select Save. If you add comments that require another user or group to perform a task, select Save & Task and select the recipient.
