Validate the HIE Documents

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, on the Categories tab, you can validate the Health Information Exchange (HIE) documents. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the Categories tab. Select Tree View from the list. Select HIE Documents category. To expand the category, do one of the following: To expand all categories, select Category Options, and select Expand All Categories. To expand the selected category, select . Double-click the appropriate HIE document.The HIE document opens. Select the CDA Validation tab.The CDA Validation pane opens. Note: The CDA validation did not pass icon displays for the validation not completed HIE documents on the Categories tab. On the CDA Validation pane, select Validate Now.The validation details appear in the CDA Validation pane. Note: You can select on the Categories tab to update the CDA validation icon. Send Bypassed C-CDA and HL7 Documents to the Provider Approval Queue

The Interoperability Rules Engine enables you to create rules that exclude selected types of C-CDA or HL7 documents from the PAQ. If you decide that a sign-off is needed for a document that bypassed the PAQ, you can manually send the document to the PAQ in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient chart. Select the Categories tab. To view a bypassed document, do one of the following: Select List View from the list. Select Tree View from the list. To expand all categories; select a category, select Category Options , and select Expand All Categories. To expand the selected category, select . Select a C-CDA, or HL7 bypassed document, and select document options . The document options appear. Note: The bypassed C-CDA, or HL7 documents does not have any PAQ icons. If the document is sent to PAQ, the document options does not display the Send to Provider Approval Queue option. Select Send to Provider Approval Queue. A message appears confirming the action. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can view the Health Information Exchange (HIE) documents CDA validation and PAQ status details on the Categories tab. Note: By default, Rosetta performs CDA validation automatically when an HIE document is imported or exported. If you want to disable or enable CDA validation, contact NextGen Healthcare support. Additionally, you can configure the CDA Viewer to perform HIE document validation in EHR. To configure the CDA viewer, you must use the General > Enable Automatic CDA Validation option on the CDA Viewer Configuration window. For more details, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest CDA Viewer User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the Categories tab. Select Tree View from the list. Select HIE Documents category. Before you begin To display the HIE documents on the Categories tab, you must configure the Sent HIE Document Category option in the StoreHIEDocuments Rosetta agent. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Categories tab, you can view the imported, and exported Health Information Exchange (HIE) document categories in the My Categories tab based on user-level configuration. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the Categories tab. Select .The My Patient History Settings window opens. Under the My Patient History Settings | Categories section, select Select Categories.A window opens displaying a list of available categories. NextGen® HIE Documents

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Categories tab, you can view the imported, and exported Health Information Exchange (HIE) document categories in the My Categories tab based on user-level configuration. To view a specific HIE document, you can expand the appropriate HIE document category, and select the required item. The following are HIE document categories. HIE Documents, displays only imported HIE documents. HIE Documents (Sent), displays only exported HIE documents. HIE Consent, displays only HIE consent documents. The following CDA validation icons appear with the HIE documents. The icon indicates that a document passed CDA validation. The icon indicates that a document did not pass CDA validation. If neither icon appears indicates that a document is not yet validated. The following PAQ status icons appear with the HIE documents. The icon indicates the PAQ pending item.
