Window Menu
The Window menu enables you to adjust the view of windows in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Window Option Description Cascade Cascades all open windows. Tile Horizontally Tiles all open windows horizontally. Tile Vertically Tiles all open windows vertically. Close Closes an open window. Close all Closes all open windows. Note: Enabling MDI tabs disables the tile and cascade options of the Window menu. Parent topic: Main Menu

Delete an Application from the Utilities Menu
In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open Utilities menu. Select Customize. The Customize window opens. Select the application to delete in Menu Contents. Select Delete. Select OK. The application is removed from the Utilities menu. Parent topic: Utilities Menu

Update an Application in the Utilities Menu
You can update the menu name, path, or parameter for an application in the Utilities menu. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open Utilities menu. Select Customize. The Customize window opens. To update the application menu name, path, or parameter, select the application in Menu Contents, and make the necessary changes. Select Update. The revised menu name, application path, or parameter are listed under Menu Contents in the Customize window. Select OK. If the application name was revised, the new name gets added to the Utilities menu. Note: To save your updates, you must select Update before you select OK; otherwise, a warning message appears, prompting you to save your changes. Main Menu
The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main menu is located at the top of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main window. It contains the following options: File, Edit, View, Tools, Admin, Utilities, Window, and Help. Note: The following additional Main menu options are available based on active module selections within NextGen® Enterprise EHR: Menu Name Description Default Available only when templates are active. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Tools menu, select Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Change User Preferences
You can change many of the default user preferences within NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Preferences window. Select the tab that contains the preferences to change. Change the preference in the selected tab. Select Apply. Depending on your selections, a warning message may appear, informing you that the preference changes are not in effect until the next time you open the application. Select OK to close the message. Select OK to accept the changes you have made and exit from the Preferences window. To exit without saving changes, select Cancel. Parent topic: User Preferences
