Update an Application in the Utilities Menu

You can update the menu name, path, or parameter for an application in the Utilities menu. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open Utilities menu. Select Customize. The Customize window opens. To update the application menu name, path, or parameter, select the application in Menu Contents, and make the necessary changes. Select Update. The revised menu name, application path, or parameter are listed under Menu Contents in the Customize window. Select OK. If the application name was revised, the new name gets added to the Utilities menu. Note: To save your updates, you must select Update before you select OK; otherwise, a warning message appears, prompting you to save your changes. Set Up System Options for a Program

On the Add/Modify Program Information window, the System tab enables you to define system-level parameters for the program. These settings apply to all practices using the program. Note: You must have Program - System Level security access rights in System Administrator to modify settings on the System tab. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Programs. The Programs List window opens. From the list, select a program and then do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Open. Right-click and then select Open. Double-click to open the program. The Modify Program Information window opens. Select the System tab. Copy a Program

You can copy a program to create another program with the same setup, and then modify the new program as needed. When you copy a program, the following information is copied to the new program: All program requirement settings from the System tab. Alerts/warnings settings from the Practice tab. All settings from the Clinical tab. The following information is not copied to the new program: Threshold rules settings from the Practice tab. Note: Practice access settings are copied to the new program. Open File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Programs. The Programs List window opens. From the list, select a program to copy and then do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Copy. Right-click and then select Copy. The Copy Program window opens. Open File Maintenance. Select System Master Files > PM > Statement Messages. The Statement Messages List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new statement message, select the Open Menu button and select New. To modify an existing statement message, select the item in the list.
