Upload Search Data to Cloud Server

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you have configured the CPOE Search API URL in System Administrator.
  • Ensure that you have created an account with administrator access on the computer that has access to the database for the environment to search from.
  • Ensure that Internet connectivity is available on the machine running the upload.
You must configure the environment to enable the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) search functionality and upload the laboratory, radiology, and immunization orders data from your NextGen Enterprise database to the AWS™ instance. The configuration includes a weekly-scheduled Microsoft® Windows® Task Scheduler job that synchronizes your practice compendiums data to AWS™ for use with the CPOE search functionality.
  1. From the installion package, open the ngconfig.ini file and identify the target environment location value specified in ServerDrive and TargetEnvironment.
  2. Browse to the target environment location and select the Components folder.
  3. Right-click the CpoeSearchDataUploader.msi installer file and select Install.
The CPOE Search Data Uploader Setup window opens.

  4. Enter your username and password, select the date and time for the scheduled task, and then select Next.
The system places the NextGen.EMR.CPOE.SearchDataUploader executable uploader file in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Nextgen Cpoe Search Data Uploader folder.
Simultaneously, the system creates a Windows® Task Scheduler job to update the search data, which is scheduled to run on a weekly basis.
  5. Right-select the NextGen.EMR.CPOE.SearchDataUploader uploader file and select Run as administrator.
CPOE uploads the laboratory, radiology, and immunization order catalog data to the cloud service.
