Deletes an existing Immunizations order.	Deletes the Immunizations order and sends the update to the Registry.	Immunizations order no longer displays on the Orders Summary grid or on the Orders Summary Immunizations grid.
Updates vaccine or clinical information such as NDC ID, Route, or other information previously entered for the Immunizations order.	Updates the specific vaccine or clinical information that was included in the original Immunizations order and sends the update to the Registry.	Immunizations Order status is unchanged in the Immunizations module.
Removes or deletes vaccine or clinical information related to the Immunizations order.	Deletes the specific vaccine or clinical information that was included in the original Immunizations order and sends the update to the registry.	Immunizations Order status is unchanged in the Immunizations module.
Marks an Immunizations Order as Entered in Error.	Changes the Immunization status for the vaccine to Entered in Error and sends the update to the registry.	If the Immunizations order contains multiple immunizations, the system only changes the status for the Immunization (vaccine) that was Entered in Error.
Changes vaccine or clinical information for a historical vaccine on the Past Vaccine Entry Form’s Vaccine Edit tab.	Updates the specific vaccine or clinical information that was included for the historical vaccine and sends the update to the registry.	Immunizations Order status is unchanged in the Immunizations module.

Keeping Your Immunizations Registries Up-to-Date

When an Immunizations order is created and saved, the system sends this order information to the patient’s Immunization record in the selected registry. If you update the administered Immunizations order, such as deleting an Immunizations order or adding a new immunization to an order, the system updates these changes in the appropriate registry. This task ensures that your registry stays up-to-date and meets Meaningful Use requirements. The system updates or changes an Immunizations order that has already been sent to the registry when you perform any of the following actions: Add, cancel, or delete an Immunizations order. Add, cancel, or delete a vaccine in an Immunizations order. Update an Immunizations order’s vaccine or clinical information. Mark an Immunizations order as Entered in Error. Viewing Immunizations Schedules and Vaccine Statuses

The Immunizations module enables you to access Immunizations schedules to determine when an immunization is due for a patient. You can also track the immunizations life cycle, including the immunization status. You can view the following schedule types when you access the Immunizations module: Chart Recommendation Registry Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules Viewing Additional Immunization Details on a Schedule The system displays detailed information about Immunizations when you uselect an Immunization status on the Chart view or Recommendation view. Viewing Excluded Vaccine Details You can view details of excluded vaccines by selecting the status column of the vaccine. Add an Immunization to an Administered Immunizations Order

Open the Orders module and select the Orders Summary tab. To add a new Immunizations to an existing order, right-click the immunizations order and select Update or double-click the immunizations order. The Vaccine Details tab appears. Select the Select Vaccines tab, select the appropriate vaccine from the list, or select a search option. For example, a patient also received a Hep B immunization during the visit and the immunization needs to be added to the original Immunizations order. The system adds the selected vaccine to the Assign Diagnosis to Selected Vaccines section. Select the Vaccine Details tab. Select the new Immunizations order from the list of vaccines to administer, for example, Hep B. Select the Registry from the list, if necessary. Select the Lot Number or enter the number manually and any other vaccine or clinical information, as required. Select the appropriate Save option. The system adds the Immunization, updates the status to Administered, and updates the registry

Update Immunizations Order Information

Access the Orders module and select the Orders Summary tab. To update the clinical or vaccine information for an administered Immunizations order, right-click the order and select Update or double-click the Immunizations order. The Vaccine Details tab appears. Select the Registry from list, if necessary. Update the appropriate vaccine or clinical information, for example, add the site. Select the appropriate Save option. Delete an Immunizations Order

Open the Orders module and select the Orders Summary tab. To add a immunizations to an existing order, right-click the immunizations order and select Delete. The system deletes the immunizations order, removes it from the Orders Summary tab, and updates the registry, if appropriate. Note: On the Orders Summary tab, any Immunizations order can be deleted, including an Immunizations order with a NextGen Status of Complete.
