Button	Description
Logout	Logs you off, but does not close the application.
Save	Saves your work in the active window.
Clear	Clears the data you have entered in the active window.
Delete	Deletes the data you have entered in the active window.
Patient	Opens the Patient Lookup window.
Edit	Toggles between the Review and Edit Patient modes if you are using this feature. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen Enterprise.
Inbox	Toggles the Workflow module on and off.
PAQ	Opens the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ).
PM	Opens NextGen NextGen® Enterprise PM for the current patient.
DM	Opens NextGen® Document Management for the current patient.
Close	Closes the template, document, or image that is currently open in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR.

Top Toolbar

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Top Toolbar consists of a location list, a provider list, and a set of buttons. You can customize the Top Toolbar with additional buttons. Customize the Top Toolbar

You can customize the top toolbar to include the EDR button to open the NextGen® EDR application. Open NextGen Enterprise EHR. Click Tools, select Top Toolbar and then click Customize. Tools option The Customize Top Toolbar window opens. Customize Top Toolbar Select EDR in the Available toolbar buttons list and click Add to add it to the Current toolbar buttons list. Note: The EDR button is available only if you are licensed for NextGen® EDR. You can perform the following steps to customize the Top Toolbar: To remove a button, select the button from Current toolbar buttons and click Remove. To rearrange buttons, click Move Up and Move Down. To modify the location of the text on the top toolbar buttons, select an option from the Text options list. To modify the size of the top toolbar buttons, select an option from the Icon options list. To return to the default display of the top toolbar, click Reset. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns. PAQ General Tab Preference Options

The General tab on the PAQ Preferences window enables you to set up custom preferences to do the following. Stay signed on to the PAQ until you log off. Have the first item in your queue selected when you open the PAQ. View PAQ items across practices. Set up the PAQ sort order. Set up the PAQ timestamp display properties. Set up whether pending and rejected documents and images are displayed in the Encounter History tab. Set up how often the PAQ is refreshed. Set up the order results view. Copy document and image signoff comments to linked lab and radiology orders. You can copy PAQ Options from one user to another within the same practice using the Copy User Preferences option in the Admin menu in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Add Clinical Quality Report Generation Buttons to the Top Toolbar

In NextGen® Enterprise, Provider CQR and Patient CQR buttons are available on the Top toolbar for generating provider-level and patient-level HQM Clinical Quality reports. Only one button can be active at a time. If a patient chart is open, the Patient CQR button is active, and the Provider CQR button is unavailable. If the patient chart is not open, the Provider CQR button is active, and the Patient CQR button is unavailable. If the selected provider does not participate in HQM, the Provider CQR button stays unavailable. The applicable user permissions and Enterprise Preferences must also be in place for the buttons to be active. If these buttons do not appear on the Top toolbar, you can add them as follows: Select the Toolbar Options down arrow at the end of the toolbar. Open the Patient Information Bar in the Patient Chart

Before you begin You must set the Practice and user preferences, to enable the Patient Information Bar in the patient chart. For more information on the patient chart, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Accounts and Patient Records User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise PM. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select Chart . The Patient Lookup window opens. Search for and select the patient using the available search criteria. The patient chart opens displaying the Patient Information Bar, where you can exclusively select Patient Chart Lookup and Open Menu to search for patients, set an active patient, and manage the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment.
