Configure Practice Preference for Display of Orders

You can configure the default settings for NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine orders. Open File Maintenance. In Master Files, select System > Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Orders Module. In the Orders/Results Linking section, select the default view the orders appear in the linking window. In Order Type and Default Source, select the default source that each order type collects data from. In Adaptive Content Engine Order Status Update Upon Sign-off, select a status that is displayed for each order type when you complete a NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine order from the linking screen. Set NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Save Action for Internal Documents

If you access the Patient Education Browser in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, you can set up in the Resources Practice Preferences whether you want internal patient education documents that are saved to the encounter to be automatically sent to NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: The preferences enhance patient triggers in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, and they do not have an impact on the Patient Education Module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Practice Preferences. From the Preference List, select Resources. From Internal Resources, select one of the following save options: Internal Document to Save to Encounter automatically. Allows a specified Internal Patient Education document to save to the encounter automatically. Internal Document to Save to Encounter and Send to Patient Portal automatically. Allows a specified Internal Patient Education document to automatically be sent to NextGen® PxP Portal only when the document is saved to the encounter. Parent topic: Open the Practice

Document Recommended Care Attribute Feedback

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Recommended Care, and then select OK. The Recommended Care practice template opens. Select a record in the data grid, and then select Attributes/Feedback link. The Attributes View and Management template opens. Select Feedback. The Attribute Feedback template opens. Enter the feedback, and then select OK. Using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine

NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine features standard problem, diagnosis, condition, allergy, medication, and symptom lists for all specialties. Specifically designed sets of templates are available for many specialties, including Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics. To maintain structural integrity and proper navigation, all templates are locked down to prevent user-defined modifications effective with NextGen 5.4.29 or later. You can do the following: Copy a locked-down template. Note: You can copy an Extended Popup template as an Extended Popup View only. You are limited to creating new triggers on fields. You cannot modify existing fields, add new fields, or copy and paste a field to the copied template. Save a locked-down under a different name and update all applicable template links to the new user-defined template. Display the locked-down with a different name at run time.
