Set up the Auto Release Windows Service

Before you begin

  • You must install and configure the Microsoft ® Message Queue (MSMQ) to set up the Auto Release Windows Service for your practice.
  • If your super UserId and PracticeId are not zeros, you must update your current values in NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.Service.exe.config file of the NextGen root folder.
You can set up the Auto Release Windows Service on your system to automatically release the orders.
  1. Select Start , and enter Command Prompt.
  2. Right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
    The Administrator: Command Prompt window opens.
  3. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder.
  4. In Command Prompt, enter NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.Service install.

    The command prompt displays if the installation is successful.
  5. In the Services window, select NextGen Auto Release Window Service, and then select Start.
    The Status for NextGen Auto Release Window Service changes to Running.
  6. Enter the appropriate directory to change to the NextGen root folder.
  7. In Command Prompt, enter NextGen.EMR.Lab.AutoRelease.exe "1".
  8. Enter your user credentials, select your enterprise and practice, and then select Logon.
    The AutoRelease(ARU) - [Service Mode] window opens.
