Set up the Appointments Refresh Rate
You can change the refresh rate of the appointments list.
From the
Appointments
menu, select
Preferences
.
The
Task Preferences
window opens.
Select the
Refresh Appointments Every X Minute(s)
check box.
Specify the preferred rate in minutes. Use integers only.
Select
OK
to accept the changes.

Set Up Preferred Appointment Scheduling Resources
Open a User Prefs - Scheduling master file. The Default User Preferences - Scheduling window opens. Select the Resources tab. To set the display order of the resources, highlight a resource in the Preferred resources section, and then select or to move it up or down. You can also use the double arrows to move it to the top or bottom of the list. If you want users to see only the preferred resources, select the Only show my preferred resources check box, and then select the preferred resources in the Preferred resources section. In the Default resource(s)/class for Appt Search section, select the resources to display and use as the default resources for any appointment search. Select OK. Parent topic: Resources Tab

Rescheduling an Appointment
You can reschedule an appointment in any of the following ways: Open and Edit: You can open the appointment from any view in the Appointment Book window, except the Monthly view tab, and edit the Date and Time fields on the Edit Appointment window. Note: This is not the recommended method for rescheduling appointments. Cut and Paste: From any view in the Appointment Book window, except the Monthly view tab. In the Appointment Book window select an appointment that you want to reschedule, right-click, and select cut. You can paste the appointment in a different time slot, and do the changes in the Edit Appointment window as needed. Note: This is the recommended method for rescheduling appointments. Drag and Drop: From the Daily or Weekly List view tab of the Appointment Book window, you can select the appointment and drag and drop it on a new timeslot to reschedule the appointment. Lookup Appointments by Patient Group
You can use the Appointment Lookup window to search for appointments for patients in a specific patient group. To access the Appointment Lookup window, do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Appt List. From the Tasks menu, select Lookup and then Appointments. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Enter appointment lookup search criteria to find the desired appointments. Multiple parameters can be used. For example, select an Appointment Date, an Event, and a Resource. In the Patient Group field, select a group name to further limit the search results to include only appointments for patients in a specific group. Note: This field displays only if the Enable Group Scheduling check box is selected in Practice Preferences > Appt Scheduling. Select Find. Appointments that match all search criteria entered display in the Appointment List section at the bottom of the window.
