Set up Diagnosis Search Result Columns
You can specify the columns, column order, and the type of description to display for search results in the diagnosis search window. The system retains the last display settings the next time the diagnosis search window launches.
- Select Preferences on the diagnosis search window.
The Columns Configuration menu opens.
- To specify which columns to display, do one of the following:
- Select each column you want to display from the menu.
A check mark appears to the left of the selected column to indicate that it is set to show in the grid. To hide the column and remove the check mark, you can select the column again.
Note: You may find it helpful to display the ICD code and clinical description in separate columns. If the ICD code is in its own column, you can sort the column to view all of the lower-level ICD codes for a higher-level code you enter. You can display Hierarchical Conditional Category Codes (HCC) and Prescription Drug HCC (RxHCC) columns for Medicare Advantage use. To include these, you must select the Differentiate Risk Adjusted diagnoses check box under Charge Entry Practice Preferences in File Maintenance. If HCC functionality is enabled, you can select Community or Institutional values for the HCC or RxHCC coefficients that display with the diagnosis.
- Select Set Columns to Display from the menu.
The View Preferences window opens.
- Select the columns you want to display from the Available Columns window.
- To add the selected items to the Display these fields in this order window, select Add or Add All.
