Set up Default Offline Generator Preferences

If you are using the TX Text Control, you can set up your offline generating preferences in the Generating section of the Documents tab. Note: The preferences in the Generating section apply only to documents that are generated offline from a Launch Document template trigger using the Document Queue utility for the TX Text Control. The preference settings are specific to each user machine. If no default preferences are set, documents are sent to the first available running instance of Document Queue and the default Windows printer. If you generate documents offline using the Documents icon on the Top Toolbar, you can select the generator and printer on the Generate a Document window. In the Generating section on the Documents tab, from the Default Generator list, select the default machine for running the Document Queue utility. Note:

Set up Spell Checker Preferences

In the User Settings section, set your preferences for the spell checker and default layout view of TX Text documents. For the TX Text Viewer only, you can set up the default view for how your TX Text documents display in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the User Settings section, select one of the following view options from the Default TX Text View list: Normal View Page Layout View Word Wrap View Note: Normal View is the default. Set Up Template Preferences

You can configure the default and preferred templates to automatically open the templates for an encounter. You can also configure the workflow after opening an encounter from the Workflow Appointment list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Preferences window Select the Templates tab. To move a commonly used template in the preferred list, select the template in the Available Templates list and then select the right arrow. The selected template appears in the Preferred Templates list. To select all templates, select the double-right arrow. To set a default template, from the Default Template list, select a template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends setting the Home Page (fts_home_page) template as a default template which provides a clinical summary of the patient to the provider.
