Select Vaccines by Searching

The Search All option enables you to search for any vaccine. Vaccines can be searched by Vaccine Name, CVX code, CPT4 code, or CPT4 description. You also can select whether to search all vaccines or only those in the Vaccine Inventory. From the Select Vaccines section, select Search All. The Search Vaccines window opens. In the search option section, enter the Vaccine Name, CVX code, CPT4 code, or CPT4 Description. Select Search inventory only or Search all vaccines. Select Find. Select the desired vaccines. Select Vaccines

To begin the Immunizations ordering process, select a vaccine or group of vaccines on the Select Vaccine tabs. You can select vaccines using different options, such as by favorites, pediatrics, adult, categories, or searching all vaccines. To create a new immunizations order, from the Immunizations tab, select the New Order list, and select Immunization Order. The Create New Immunization Orders for patient name window opens on the Select Vaccines tab. Select scheduled vaccines for the patient using the appropriate option, for example, Favorites or Search. If a diagnosis is associated with the vaccine, the diagnosis is displayed when you select the vaccine. Note: Any unresolved diagnoses for the vaccine display for more information and consultation, if necessary. Review any existing allergies and select, if applicable. If not, select No To All Allergies. Note: The Allergy Review window does not appear automatically if it has been disabled in the Orders Practice Preferences in File Maint

Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules

When you access the Immunizations module, you can select either the Chart or the Recommendation schedule. From the Orders Module, select the Immunizations tab. Either the Immunizations or Recommendation Schedule appears. To select another schedule, select either the Chart tab or the Recommendation tab. Note: The Recommendation schedule view is the system default. If you selected the Chart view on the Preferences window, the Chart view appears. Add Favorite Adult or Pediatric Categories for a Vaccine

Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences. In the Vaccine Favorites section, select Adult or Pediatrics from the Favorites Category list. Select the Open Record button. The Updating Favorite Category: (Adult or Pediatrics) window opens. Select the appropriate vaccines to add. Select OK. Select OK at the bottom of the Imm tab. Update a Favorite User-defined Category Name for a Vaccine

When setting up Vaccine Favorites, you selected vaccines that your practice most frequently uses and that you may have assigned to user-defined categories. In the future, you may need to change the names of these vaccine favorite categories. Note: For the Adult or Pediatric Vaccine Favorites, you can only update the favorite items, you cannot update the Category Name. Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences. In the Vaccine Favorites section, select the user-defined Category from the Category list. Select the Open Menu button and select Open. The Rename Vaccine Favorite Category window opens.
