Select Vaccines Using the Favorite Categories

From the Select Vaccines section, select the appropriate Favorites category (that is, Pediatrics, Adult, or a user-defined category). The vaccines for each category appear. Select the appropriate vaccine from the list. The vaccine appears in the Assign Diagnosis to Selected Vaccines section. Note: If an allergy review is required, view and select an allergy, if applicable. The Allergy Review window opens automatically, unless it has been disabled in your practice's setting in File Maintenance (Practice Preference > Orders module). If the patient's allergies have been selected previously or exist in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Allergies module, the specific allergy (or allergies) display across the the top of the Create New/Update Immunizations Orders window (Only common allergies associated with vaccines are displayed). Search for a Vaccine

To filter and find vaccines in the Immunization grid, use the filter fields above the grid. You can filter the grid by applying filters for one or more of the following: Manufacture, Inventory Description, NDC, Lot No. and/or CPT code. You can use partial entries in the Manufacturer and Inventory Description fields to find all entries with that character string: For example, the filter Kline, will return results for Glaxo Smith Kline. Note: For the NDC field, a partial search only filters the grid for entries that start with the character string. Record Past COVID-19 Vaccines

You can use the Past Vaccine Entry Form to record vaccinations received outside the practice. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. Select or create an encounter from Encounter History. Open the Immunizations module. Select Historical. Note: If the selected encounter is not created for that day, a message appears prompting you to do one of the following: To select a different encounter, select Cancel, and then select an encounter from the Encounter History tab. To continue with the currently selected encounter, select No. To create an encounter, select Yes. The Past Vaccine Entry Form window opens. To select a vaccine from the past vaccines list, select a date range from the By Category list, and then select a displayed vaccine. To search for a vaccine, do the following: Select Search. Select the Vaccine to Include in the Vaccine Inventory

To access the Vaccines Inventory List window in File Maintenance, select System, and then Vaccines Inventory. From the Vaccines Inventory List window, select the Open Menu button and select New to create a vaccine inventory entries. On the Vaccine Inventory window, on the Vaccines tab, select the vaccine from the CDC Vaccine List section. Note: The system updates the vaccines monthly when the Medication Update is run. Generating a Vaccine Inventory Master File Report

You can generate and print a Vaccine Inventory Master File report, which enables you to display Vaccine Inventory data for your practice, multiple practices, a specific location within the practice, or all locations. You can display Vaccine Inventory report data according to your practice’s needs, using the following options: Selecting columns (such as Vaccine Name, CPT4 and CVX code, and Expiration Date) Selecting Filters (such as, Practice, Units remaining, and VFC) Sorting data (Such as grouping by Location and Sort Ascending by Vaccine Name) Displaying totals By selecting columns and filters, you can generate reports to obtain data, such as the following: Determine how vaccines are being used for Vaccine for Children (VFC) patients. Select an Immunizations Order Filter

If you select Immunizations Order Type, you can generate various reports by selecting the appropriate Immunizations filters. Examples of some of the types of immunization reports you might need to generate follow: Patients who have had a particular vaccine within a certain time period. All immunizations completed on a specific date. Immunizations marked as an error for the current date. Vaccines that have been ordered but not yet administered. Vaccine for Children (VFC) Immunizations information. For example, a report that lists American Indian or Alaskan natives who are VFC-eligible and have received VFC Immunizations by a certain date. Select Orders from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Select Immunizations from the Select Order Type list. Select the Performing Entity (registry) from the list. If necessary, select to display the Registries Search window. Select a registry, if necessary, and select OK. Select a Vaccine name from the list or select to search for a vaccine
