Set Up Orders Module Practice Preferences
Open File Maintenance and select System > Practices. Double-click a pratice. In the Modify Practice Information window, select Preferences and then select the Orders Module. There are several check boxes to set preferences for printing, the use of the NextGen Compendium, and other settings. There are additional preferences associated with the Orders module that can be set for your practice. Set Up a Private Results Filter
To create private filters when working with completed results, you must first set it up. Select File Maintenance > System > EHR > Practices > Orders Module. Select Lab/Rad. Set Up Practice Preferred Performing Entities
Using File Maintenance Practice Preference settings, you can select a default value for the performing entity to use for both lab tests and radiology orders for a selected practice. You can also set up In-House Performing Entity by which the laboratory and diagnostic order items mapped to this entity are displayed in the list of Common Orders in NextGen® Enterprise CPOE. Select File Maintenance > System > Practices. Select a practice. Select Preferences. Select Order module in the Preference List. To display the Lab or Radiology performing entities, select the Open Record button. The list of performing entities appears. Using the right and left arrows, select the Lab and Radiology performing entities. In the Performing Entities window, select OK. Select the Lab Preferred Performing Entity and the In-House Performing Entity from the list. Select the Radiology Preferred Performing Entity and the In-House Performing Entity from the list. Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Practice
Create the group in File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > File Maintenance > System > Practices. Double-click the desired practice in the list. Select Preferences at the bottom of the Modify Practice Information window. In the Preferences list in the left pane, select Order module > Lab/Rad tab. Select the folder to open the Test Favorites window. Select in the list to select the favorite to add and select the right-arrow to add it to the favorites. Select OK. The test favorites list is now defined as the preference for your practice. Select OK to finish the practice update. Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences
In File Maintenance, select System > Practices > Preferences. The Practices List window opens. Locate and then double-click your practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Tests Toolbar
The following options are available in the Select Tests panel. Option Description Show Favorites Displays the practice or provider test favorites list available for this practice or provider. By Category Displays any test favorites lists available for a speciality. This Order Displays the tests selected for this order. Search All Displays the Search Tests window. After you find and select tests, you can add selected tests to the provider's favorites by selecting the Add selected tests to provider favorites check box. Check All Selects all tests available in the test orders list. Uncheck All Clears all currently selected orders in the list. Add to Favorites Adds selected tests to your provider's favorites. The Add to Favorites option is enabled by the Allow provider to maintain test favorites practice preference in File Maintenance.
