Double-click the desired practice in the list.
Select
Preferences
at the bottom of the
Modify Practice Information
window.
In the
Preferences
list in the left pane, select
Order module
>
Lab/Rad
tab.
Select the folder to open the
Test Favorites
window.
Select in the list to select the favorite to add and select the right-arrow
to add it to the favorites.
Select
OK
.
The test favorites list is now defined as the preference for your practice.
Select
OK
to finish the practice update.

Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Specialty
Create the group in File Maintenance. Select System > Specialties. Double-click the desired specialty in the list. The Specialty Information window opens. Select the folder in the Test Favorites pane. The list of available test favorites displays. Select to highlight one of the favorites groups and select the right-arrow to move the selected group to the Included pane. Select OK to save the selection as the favorites group for this specialty. Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Provider Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Provider A provider can select, modify and use a list of test favorites that they prefer. They do not subscribe to a favorites list like the practices do, rather, they select a test favorites group to use as a start, and then customize it for themselves. Create the favorites group in File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > System > Providers. Double-click the desired provider in the list. Select the Orders module tab or enter [ALT]-[M] on the Modify Provider Information window to open the Orders module tab. Select . The Map Favorite Tests to Provider window opens. Select to select a Test Favorites group from the list available to assign this favorites group to this provider. Select the right-arrow to move the favorites group to the Included pane. Select OK. Practice Test Favorites
Practices can select a predefined Test Favorites group to use for their location. When they select one, they "subscribe" to this favorites group. If changes are made to the original Test Favorites group they have chosen, they automatically get any updates made to it. Test favorites can be created by assigning a favorites list to a practice using File Maintenance. When importing the default test favorites the favorites are created in the lab favorites table. Test favorites can also be assigned by the Orders Management Console to a practice to be used as the default test favorites. When importing a favorites list, if a specific practice already has a practice favorite set up for that particular lab or radiology system to which the favorites are being imported (NextGen, Labcorp, etc.) the new favorite being imported is not added to that practice's available list. If that practice does not have a favorites list assigned for that lab or radiology system, the default system being imported is

Select Test Favorites for a Practice
Select File Maintenance > System > Practices. Select a practice. Select Preferences. In the Preference List, select Orders Module. Select Order Module > Lab/Rad tab. Select the folder to select one or more of the Order Test Favorites lists that have been created for your database. These tests must have already been created in File Maintenance.
