Pre-defined Orders Summary Filters
You can select orders to view the order type on the Orders Summary grid using the following pre-defined filters: Field Description All (Default) Opens orders of all order types. Labs Opens only the lab order tests. Radiology Opens only the radiology order tests. Imm. (Immunization) Opens only the immunization orders. Scheduled Opens only the future and recurring orders. Select an Orders Summary Grid Filter
Select the name of the filter on the Filters bar on the Orders panel. The Orders Summary grid displays the order types and columns specified in that filter. For example, if you select Radiology, only radiology orders appear in the Orders Summary grid. Parent topic: Using the Orders Summary Tab

Set up a Private or Practice Orders Filter
To set up a new private or practice orders filter, follow this workflow: Create the filter, name it, and add an optional tooltip. Select the commands to display on the Orders Summary or Orders Management Top toolbar. Select the columns to display on the Orders Summary or Orders Management grid. Select one or more order types (lab, radiology, or immunizations). You must select at least one order type to filter orders. After you select the order type(s), you can apply or save the filter. Select the order statuses. Select the date criteria. Select providers and locations for lab, radiology, and immunizations orders. Select performing entities for lab and radiology orders. If required, enter test descriptions for lab and radiology orders. Using the Orders Summary Tab
The Orders Summary tab provides order information in the following panels: Orders panel. View, update, and track existing orders and create orders for the current patient. Results panel. View test results from an interface or manually enter test results and related documents for the current patient. This panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab, but you can expand it to view its contents. Sign-off and Tracking Comments panel. View and add order tracking or sign-off comments. This panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab, but you can expand it to view its contents. Lab and Radiology Test Filter Descriptions
For lab and radiology test orders, you can set up test description filters on the Data 3 tab of the Set Orders Summary Filters window. This filter is not applicable for immunization orders. You can select a Match exact names only option to only show tests that match the exact description you enter. If you do not select this option, you can view tests with a partial match to the description you enter. For example, if you enter Cholesterol as the description without selecting an exact name match, this filter would display different types of cholesterol tests such as HDL Cholesterol; Cholesterol, Total; and LDL Cholesterol (Direct). If you select an exact name match, only tests with the description of Cholesterol would appear. If no tests with this exact description are found, nothing is shown. Select a Lab or Radiology Order to Update from the Orders Summary Grid
In the Orders Summary grid, double-click the row for the order to update. If you select a lab order, the Update Lab Order for Patient Name window opens. If you select a radiology order, the Update Radiology Order for Patient Name window opens. Add to or change the order following the instructions in Selecting Tests and Entering Test Details. When you have finished your update, select Save, Save & Task, Save & Print, Save & Fax, or Save & Send. Parent topic: Updating Lab and Radiology Orders
