Select a Laboratory or Radiology Order Filter

  1. Select Orders from the Report Filter Settings List.
    Report Filter

  2. Select Laboratory, Radiology, Immunization from the Select Order Type list.
  3. Select if the order was Ordered Elsewhere (Y, N, or None).
  4. Select the performing entity from the Select Performing Entity list.
    If necessary, select to display the Laboratory Search window.
    Laboratory Search

    • Enter the name of the lab as a search criterion. For example, Quest.
    • Select Search.
    • Select the desired laboratories.
    • Select OK. The Laboratory name displays in the Select Performing Entity field.
  5. Select the test from the Select Test list.
    If necessary, select to display the Test Search window.
    Test Search

    • Do one of the following:
      • Select the NextGen Test Definition option - to display the laboratory and radiology test descriptions as provided by NextGen Healthcare. These test descriptions are listed in the Order NextGen Test Compendium system master file.
      • Select the Test Definitions option - to display the laboratory and radiology test descriptions as defined by the performing entities in the Order Test system master file.
    • Enter a Key and/or Description as a search criterion.
    • Select Search.
    • Select the desired Lab Tests.
    • Select OK.

      The selected laboratory displays in the Select Test field.

  6. Select whether to display only the patients Who Have Never Had or Who Have Ever Had before or after a specific date or Who Have Not Had Since a specific date.
  7. Setup any desired filters (Equals, Not Equals, Greater Than, Less Than, Like) for Order Date (if necessary select whether to Include Orders Without Results or Order Without Results Only), Result Status (if necessary), select whether to Exclude Cancelled) and Provider (if necessary, select to display the Provider Search window).
  8. Select Show Test Results, if necessary.
    • Select the Result Date.
    • Select whether to include Numeric Comparison.
    • Select whether to include Latest Value Only.
    • Set up filters for specific Result Description (Equals, Not Equals, Greater Than, Less Than, Like) based on Value and whether the results are Abnormal.
  9. Select the number of entries for the selected Lab Result to be included in the report.
  10. If necessary, select the time range for items to be included.
    The Data Range window opens.
    Data Range

    • Select Fixed Range and setup From Date and To Date or select Variable Range.
    • Select OK.
  11. Select Columns from the Settings List and select the appropriate columns.
  12. If necessary, select Sorting or other report display options from the Report Filter.
  13. To view the report data in alternate shading, select Alternate Shading.
  14. Select Save.
  15. To generate the report, select OK.
