Expired Date

Opens the date when a recurring or future lab or radiology order stops being processed or tracked as an upcoming order.

For example, if a recurring order is set for release every three months for a year, after the original recurring order expires, the system stops trying to reorder the item every three months. For a future, a provider can place an order for one month and set an expiration date in case the patient does not have the test performed.

You can set up the practice preference for Future/Recurring Orders Expires After in File Maintenance. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Orders Module Setup Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
Auto Release

Opens a selected check box if an order is being auto released. You cannot change this setting from this column.

You can manually select a test to be auto released using the Auto Release Utility or set up a practice preference in File Maintenance to auto release a test without user intervention. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Orders Module Setup Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
