Select Medication Data

  1. Select Medication from the Report Filter Settings List.

  2. Select to prompt the Medication Search window.
    Medication Search

    • Select the type of search: DEA Class, Class or Name.
    • Enter the search criteria.
    • Select whether to include Generics and/or Retired medications.
    • Clear the Active Medication check box if you wish to include all available medications.
    • Select Search.
    • Select the desired medications.
    • Select OK.

  3. Select whether to Include or Exclude displayed medications.
  4. Select whether to display only the patients Who Have Never Had or Who Have Ever Had before or after a specific date or between a specific date range or Who Have Not Had Since a specific date.
  5. To select a fixed date range, check Who Have Ever Had and select Between from the list.
    The Date Range window opens.
    Date Range

    • Select the dates.
    • Select OK.
  6. Select the number of times that the medication has been prescribed for the date range, if necessary or do the following:
    • Check Who Have Ever Had and select After from the list.
    • Select the Year/Month/Day. For example, 1 year and 3 months after today's date.
  7. Select whether to include Active or Inactive patient medications or both.
  8. Select to display the Number of Medications that have been prescribed for a patient.
  9. Select whether to check for No Active Medications check box to be selected or unselected.
  10. Select whether to filter the dispense method, by selecting Faxed and/or Printed and/or e-Prescribed from the Audit Type list.
  11. From the Medication Filter tab, set up the following:
    Report Filter

    • Set up any desired filters (Equals, Not Equals, Greater Than, Less Than, Like) for Brand Name, Generic Name, Dose, Dose Description, Route Description, Medication Category Description, Start Date, Stop Date, Last Refill Date, Rx Refills, Duration, Rx Quantity, Units, PRN, Reason, Sample, Lot Number and Expiration Date.
    • Select the Date/Time filter (that is, the date/time when a record was created, for example, when a medication was prescribed).
    • Setup filters for DEA Level, Medication Diagnosis, Prescribing Provider, and Prescribing Location.

      Select to display a pertinent Search window, if necessary.

    • Set up filters for whether Limit Renewals, Prescribed Elsewhere, Prior Authorization and/or Dispense As Written check boxes have been selected.
  12. To add additional Medication data, return to the Medication Search tab, Select Add.

  13. Select whether the additional filter is either AND / OR.
  14. Repeat Steps 2-8.
  15. Select Columns from the Settings List and select the appropriate columns.
  16. If necessary, select Sorting or other report display options from the Report Filter.
  17. To view the report data in alternate shading, select Alternate Shading.
  18. Select Save.
  19. To generate the report, select OK.
