RxPrint and RxFax Reports for Individual States

ePCS Security Features for RxPrint and RxFax Reporting

The RxPrint and RxFax reports include information, in accordance with DEA mandates, to increase the safety and effectiveness of electronic transmissions of controlled substance prescriptions. These reports display the following information when you print or fax a controlled substance prescription based on the following conditions: If you refax or reprint an electronic prescription for a controlled substance, a COPY NOT FOR DISPENSING watermark is shown on the report. If the electronic transmission for the prescription fails, the following occurs: A message displays that the transmission failed On the report or the fax, a section displaying the original electronic transmission information, including the date and time the prescription was sent, name of the pharmacy and the pharmacy address displays for the sender's information. The Medications SAP Crystal Reports enable you to print and fax prescriptions, create auditing reports, and meet other clinical reporting needs. SAP Crystal Reports displays with the new logo, NextGen Healthcare provides the following Medications module: Report Description ePCS The ePCS (electronically prescribed controlled substance) reports allows you to monitor and track information about prescriptions that have been processed for controlled substances. The following reports are included: ePCS auditable events report ePCS prescriptions report Prescriptions Audit Report Includes all prescriptions written by providers (including faxed, printed, or sent electronically) for a selected timeframe. Printing Patient Prescriptions

You can print a prescription to hand over to the patient. The following apply: If you print or fax a controlled substance prescription, you can no longer ePrescribe the prescription. If you ePrescribe a controlled substance, you can print or fax the prescription. The printed or faxed report must indicate that the printed or faxed copy is "not for dispensing." If you ePrescribe a controlled substance and the transmission fails, you can print or fax the prescription. The printed or faxed report must display a message that states the prescription was originally sent electronically to a pharmacy. The pharmacy’s name, and the date and time of the eRx message must display. The message must also show that the eRx message failed. If the Verify PIN Universal Preference is set to True, you are required to provide Medication Verification when printing a patient prescription. SAP Crystal Reports for NextGen® Enterprise EHR

NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes a set of all standard SAP Crystal Reports. The files reside in the Distributed Reports folder on your server and must be copied to your designated folders in your NextGenRoot folder when upgrading to NextGen Enterprise 5.6 or higher. All EHR Crystal Reports have the new rebranded NextGen logo except for the e-requests and claims. The Ohio RxPrint report in the state specific report and the new consolidated report has the new logo. The standard header and footer on all reports have the new logo. CAUTION: If you use the SQL Server 2012 database with the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver to connect to the database, the SAP Crystal Reports functionality may not work properly. It is a known issue with SAP Crystal Reports. To ensure that you can run your SAP Crystal Reports, use the SQL Server Native Client 10.0 driver to connect to the SQL Server 2012 database.
