You can execute a Service Item Lookup trigger on a template to return a list of service items (for example, prosthetic and orthotic L-Codes) and their associated prices that are stored in the applicable Service Item Master (SIM) library. The service items returned are based on the current encounter date, location, and payer.
Note: If your
Enterprise Preferences are set to
Enable Advanced Service Item Library Mode, information is pulled from the appropriate payer or self-pay Pricing Region Library, if available.
If a service item is not in the Pricing Region Library (derived library), the message provided in Enterprise Preferences for default pricing is displayed.
