Enter Radiology Test Results Manually

Radiology test results can be entered with NextGen Clinical Mesage Manager and an interface agent, or you can enter them manually. You must have permission to add results. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order. To expand the Results panel, select the Results down arrow. Select the New Document and Images Results Entry tab. Browse to the path that contains the desired diagnostic image, select the image, and then select OK. Note: This path for images can be defined with the System Administrator > Universal Preferences > Images > Image Path. To collapse the Results panel, select the Results up arrow. Grid Results Tab

The Grid Results tab has two sections: Reported panels and Reported results. The following toolbar selections are available. Option Description Reported panels: includes the status, collection date and any related comments. Refresh Refreshes the display of test results. Delete Panel Deletes the selected results panel. Reported results for: includes the result, unit, any flags, range, observation date and any related comments. Delete Result Deletes the result for a selected test. New Results Entry Tab

The New Results Entry tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description New Result When selected, creates a new result to associate with the selected order. Refresh Refreshes the results list. Clear Clears the results list. Delete Deletes a selected result. Save Saves the new result created here. Result Status Lists status options for selection: Corrected, Error No Order, Final, Incomplete No Specimen, In Process Unspecified, In Process Scheduled, Lab Canceled, Order Canceled, Order Completed, Order Discontinued, Order Hold, Order Replaced, Partial, Pending, Pending Incomplete, Practice Canceled, Preliminary, Unknown Display New Results Entries in the Results Panel Parent topic: Using the Results Panel

Documents, Images, and Urls Tab

The Documents, Images, and Urls tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Available Documents and Images Displays a list of documents or images attached to the current encounter that have already been linked to this order. Refresh Refreshes the documents and images list. Unlink Document/Image/Url Unlinks a document, image, or URL. Full Screen Displays the order result on the full screen. Formatted Results Tab

The Formatted Results tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Show Normal (N) Results Flag When selected, normal results are marked with a flag. Show compressed results When selected, additional information appears such as LOINC code, performing entity, medical director or specimen. MU Compatible Make the format of the results Meaningful Use (MU) compatible. Refresh Refresh the results display. Print Print the order results. A print preview is available. Fax Fax results to the selected phone number. Full Screen Toggles full screen mode on and off. Copy Copies selected text. Select All Selects all text shown in the results. Setup Sets up critical range results. Patient Portal Sends lab results to NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal. Note: This button only appears if your practice has enabled the NextGen Patient Portal function. Formatted Results. Allows the entry of information on radiology results for the current patient after an image or document has been linked to this test using the New Document and Images Entry tab. Grid Results. Not used for radiology tests. Values for the results cannot be graphed. Documents and Images. Displays any documents or graphics attached to this patient's radiology test's results.
