Results Panel Tabs

The Results panel contains the following tabs that control the formatting of results and related documents and images: Formatted Results Grid Results Documents, Images, and URLs New Results Entry New Document and Images Entry As you change from one tab to another in the Results panel, the title has the tab name appended to it to show which tab has been selected. Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. The actions available on the Results panel toolbar change depending on which type of results are being viewed or created. Enter Radiology Test Results Manually

Radiology test results can be entered with NextGen Clinical Mesage Manager and an interface agent, or you can enter them manually. You must have permission to add results. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order. To expand the Results panel, select the Results down arrow. Select the New Document and Images Results Entry tab. Browse to the path that contains the desired diagnostic image, select the image, and then select OK. Note: This path for images can be defined with the System Administrator > Universal Preferences > Images > Image Path. To collapse the Results panel, select the Results up arrow. Managing Patient Test Results

The Test Results template in the patient contact workflow tracks the radiology results, lab orders, and orders from the providers who are relayed to the practice. This template is also used to add and track the actions taken and additional messages. This template has the following panels. Tests. You can select the types of tests and enter the results. Orders. You can select any orders placed or reviewed for the patient. You can also verify orders that need to be placed or appointments that need to be scheduled. Actions. You can document items completed for the patient contact templates. Messages. You can enter any additional messages. Documents, Images, and Urls Tab

The Documents, Images, and Urls tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Available Documents and Images Displays a list of documents or images attached to the current encounter that have already been linked to this order. Refresh Refreshes the documents and images list. Unlink Document/Image/Url Unlinks a document, image, or URL. Full Screen Displays the order result on the full screen. Selecting Tests and Entering Test Details

When you create a new order or update an order, the following panels appear on the Create New Lab Order, Create New Radiology Order, Update Lab Order, and Update Radiology Order windows on the Select Tests tab.
