After you have finished selecting options, clinical data, and attachments for a document export in Data Share module, you can preview the document contents and specify a hash code or an encryption password.
- On the Export tab, select Preview.
Note:
- If you choose to include excluded data, the NextGen Security Logon window opens. Enter your username and password to continue.
- If your selection of clinical data omits any categories that are required for Meaningful Use and Advancing Care Information, a CCD Export Warning appears. Select Cancel to return to the Export tab and modify the selection of clinical data, either by applying a filter or by manually selecting items. Otherwise, select OK to continue.
- If your selection includes data from sensitive encounters, a sensitive data warning appears. For further information about sensitive encounters, download Managing Sensitive Encounters inNextGen®Enterprise from NextGen Healthcare Success Community.
- If there is an associated referral order, and the recipient for the C-CDA does not match the recipient for the referral order, then a warning message appears. Select OK or Cancel.
A preview of the document appears.
The CDA Content portion of this window supports multiple views with options for filtering, sorting, and validating Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) contents and viewing attachments. - Review the displayed information.
- To view a hash code for the document, select , and then selectSHA1 or SHA256.
An information bar displays the code. To copy the hash code, select
Copy Hash Value
.
- To view the XML source code for the document, select .
- If you are ready to export, select Export; otherwise, select Cancel.
If the file exports successfully, a confirmation message appears. If the file is a referral being sent to a system that supports closed loop referrals, a message advises you to use the Closed Loop Referrals tab to monitor the referral.
If you used a destination of Export to File, the file appears in the folder that was previously configured for the file export agent by NextGen Healthcare Support.
If the file does not successfully export, an error message appears. You can check the Data Share module log file for information about the error.
If the error message states that the patient has no recorded consent to share this information, then the consent rules for the patient do not allow the export.
