Prescription Drug Monitoring Program

As a regulatory requirement, states can mandate that you view a patient’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) reports before prescribing controlled substances, such as narcotics, sedatives, stimulants, and drugs of concern. With PDMP, you can receive a detailed list of a patient’s controlled substance history and NarxCare scores at the point of care.

The PDMP integrated functionality, using Bamboo Health PDMP Gateway, can help eliminate fraud, risk, and crime while ensuring compliance and increasing patient safety. For this service, you, as a client, must contract directly with Bamboo Health for a small annual provider fee. Some states may cover this fee for their prescribers.

The Enable PDMP Gateway and Enable State PDMP check boxes in File Maintenance, enables a PDMP list with the PDMP and PDMP Viewed via State Portal buttons in the Medications module.
