Permissions for Adding NDC IDs to the NDC Library
If a user adds an NDC ID while administering an Immunizations Order in the Immunization module, the system uses the NDC ID for billing purposes. If the practice’s NDC Library does not already contain the identified NDC ID, and the user has rights to add NDC IDs to the NDC Library in File Maintenances, the system also adds the new NDC ID in the NDC Library.
To prevent the system from updating File Maintenance when certain users add NDC IDs in Immunizations, the practice can restrict the update rights for those user groups in System Administrator.
