Patient Alerts Module Trigger

You can access the Alerts module from a template trigger instead of the Alerts button on the Patient Information Card (PIC). The trigger can be used whether the PIC is disabled or enabled. The Goto Module/Alerts trigger is set up in Template Editor.

When you execute the trigger, the Patient Alerts window opens, listing predefined or custom patient alerts. NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts appear in separate tabs on the window. You can view, add, edit, and remove alerts for the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, depending on your access rights for Patient Alerts. You can also view any NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts if the Display PM Alerts practice preference has been enabled in the File Maintenance application. You cannot take any action on NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts within NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
