Customizing the Results Flowsheet View
To view order test results in the sequence or detail as your practice prefers, select Short Description, Long Description, and Nextgen Description to display from the Views Labs list. To display lab results in alphabetical order, select the View Results Only check box. To display lab results in categories such as CBC or chem. 7, do not select the View Results Only check box. For more information on the Orders module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Orders Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Customize the Initial Tab View in the Orders Module
When you open the Orders module, the Results tab appears by default. You can set up a user preference to display a different tab as the default. For more information on Orders user preferences, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main menu, select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. In the General tab, under the Orders section, in the Initial View list, select one of the following: Results Flowsheet Orders Summary Immun - Chart Immun - Recommendation Immun - Registry Select Apply and then OK. Close NextGen® Enterprise EHR and then restart it to apply the new default value when you open the Orders module. Parent topic: Orders Module Main Tabs

Set up the Order Results View
You can select the default view for patient test results and include the test description. From the Provider Approval Queue menu, select Preferences. The PAQ Preferences window opens, with the General tab in view. In the Order Results section, do the following: To display the description of the test, select the Show Test Description check box. Select one of the following results view: Formatted View. Displays the test results with XML formatting and inherits the same features as the formatted Results tab of the Orders module. Grid View. Displays the results in a formatted grid. Document/Image View. Displays the document/image results in the left side of the preview pane and images/documents on the right side of the preview pane. Select Test Favorites for a Practice
Select File Maintenance > System > Practices. Select a practice. Select Preferences. In the Preference List, select Orders Module. Select Order Module > Lab/Rad tab. Select the folder to select one or more of the Order Test Favorites lists that have been created for your database. These tests must have already been created in File Maintenance. Set Up a Private Results Filter
To create private filters when working with completed results, you must first set it up. Select File Maintenance > System > EHR > Practices > Orders Module. Select Lab/Rad.
