Open a Template

In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, to view the patients list, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box to the left of the patient's name. From Chart, select EHR Chart. A list appears displaying up to ten favorite templates. Do one of the following: To open a template with an existing unlocked encounter, select an encounter from the required template. To open a template with a new encounter, select the template name, and then select Yes to create a new encounter. Note: For NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 5.9 or earlier, you cannot select an encounter from NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. If an unlocked encounter exists for the current date, the template opens with that encounter. If there are no unlocked encounters for the current date associated with the template, you can creat

Viewing and Exporting Patient Chart Items

You can view the properties of documents, images, or SAP Crystal Reports within an encounter as well as export these items from the patient chart. An option is available with the following options based on the selected item. Template Field Types

The following table explains the types of template fields listed in the order that they appear on the Fields toolbar. Field Description Label Labels enable you to add information to a template. You can set up a label as a header for the template or simply to enter text viewable template users. Data Entry (Edit) Data entry fields enable you to enter information into NextGen® Enterprise EHR through templates. These fields can be used to enter time, date, and numeric values, as well as user-defined text. Check Box Check boxes enable you to enter data by selecting or clearing a predefined response. Push Button You can use buttons to trigger several different actions. Launching another template or module within NextGen® Enterprise EHR is the most common purpose of buttons. Data Sheet Data sheets display data from NextGen® Enterprise EHR tables in tabular or grid format. Open a Patient's Chart from the Task List

You can open a patient's chart or open the attachment associated with a task from the task list. Note: When a patient's chart is attached to an email and sent using the NextGen® Enterprise EHR email function, the data in the patient's chart is not encrypted. It may not be encrypted unless the email is sent through an external email system that uses encryption. Before using the NextGen® Enterprise EHR email function to send patient information, ensure that your system and processes comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Select the task in the task list. Below the details section, select Chart on the toolbar to open the desired encounter within the patient's chart. Note: If the selected task contains attachments (such as a document, template, or image), NextGen® Enterprise EHR opens the patient's chart and prompts you with the attachment. If an attachment contains a NextGen® Document Management image, the attachment automatically opens in Nex

You can select and view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Chart/Recalls/Tasking is set to No, then you cannot access Chart on the NextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar.
