Email Tasks

You can perform the tasks like compose, reply or forward, open, and remove an email. To check your incoming email, select the Email , and then select Refresh. To send a new email message, select Compose in the toolbar of the Email panel. A new Message email window opens in Microsoft Outlook®. To open an email message, select Open. The email opens in Microsoft Outlook. You can reply, forward, print, and highlight the message as required. To delete an email message, select the message to delete, and then select Remove. Note: The email message is also deleted from Microsoft Outlook®. To add emails to the Task List or directly to a patient's chart, select the email message, and then select either + To Do or + To Chart. If a patient's information is attached to an email, you can access the patient's chart or orders from your email. You can see clinical data from other practices for the selected Enterprise Chart patient in read-only mode. You cannot add or modify the displayed information. You can send NextGen® Enterprise EHR task to the specific recipients. You can create NextGen® Enterprise EHR task and send it to the specific recipients. You can select and view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Opening Patient Chart Items from Data Sheets

Templates may contain Case Sheets, Encounter Sheets, or Summary Sheets that display saved templates, documents, reports, emails, and images from the patient's encounters. The Summary Sheet displays all items for all encounters. The Encounter Sheet displays all items for the selected encounter. The Case Sheet displays all items related to the case from all encounters. You can double-click a displayed item in the data sheet to open it. If you open a template (regular or non-Extended Popup), you can enter data in it and save it. CAUTION: To view and work on templates, documents, reports, emails, and images in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must be granted the appropriate rights in the System Administrator application. Assign NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item

You can assign an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list. A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select + To Do in the toolbar. The New EHR Task window opens. To change the Due Date from today, select the calendar icon, and then select a different date. From the Priority list, select High, Normal (default) , or Low. To add recipients to the task, select Add available next to Assign To. The Select Task Recipients window opens. If you do not select a recipient for the task you are creating, the task assigned to you. To change the Subject from the name of the item type, enter the text in the subject field. You can enter up to 30 characters. To associate a patient with the task, select Add next to Re: Patient to display the Patient Lookup window. Select the patient in the Re: Patient.
