Clinical TaskingThe ability to view tasks and assign task recipients in other practices is based on the following preferences:
  • Task List by Enterprise/Practice.If you have the operation right, you can select this preference from the Task List Task Preferences in the Clinical Tasking tab of the Workflow module.

When the value is set to True, you see only your tasks for the current practice rather than seeing tasks across multiple practices. To Do tasks are practice-specific. If the value is set to False, you see your tasks from multiple practices but can only act on them from the practice they were created in. Tasks created in other practices are italicized.

  • Task Recipients by Practice. When the value is set to True, only users in the current practice are displayed in the All Users folder of the Select Task window in the Workflow module. If the value is set to False, you can select from a list of all task recipients in all practices.
Provider Approval Queue (PAQ)The ability to view the PAQ across multiple practices is based on the View Items Across Practices preference and operations right. The security group you belong to must also have the corresponding PAQ operations right set in System Administrator.

When the preference value is set to True, you can view the PAQ across all enterprise practices, but you must log on to the other practice to implement an operation. If the value is set to False, you can only view the PAQ for your own practice.

AppointmentsView only appointments for the practice you are logged on to.
Patient PortalMedications and C-CDA/PHR (Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture and personal health record) data viewing are impacted as follows:
  • The medications section on the NextGen® PxP Portal dashboard only displays medications that are entered in practices that the patient is currently enrolled in for the portal. It does not show all medications the patient has in the enterprise.
  • For clinical data on PHR pages that come through a C-CDA to the NextGen® PxP Portal, the patient sees some data from all of the practices the patient is in. The Rosetta interface pulls all of the practices’ data for the patient into the C-CDA.
