Manage Vaccine Exclusions

You can exclude a vaccine or vaccine group for a patient and also document a vaccination series completion on the Vaccine Exclusion Form window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To exclude a vaccine or vaccine group, do the following: Select the menu icon, select Exclusions, and then select a vaccine group from the list. The Vaccine Exclusion Form window opens displaying the Exclusions tab. Under Exclusion/Deferral Reason, select the exclusion reason. If the exclusion is a deferral, you can select the date range under Start date and End date. To exclude a single vaccine group, select the vaccine from the Available For Exclusion list. To exclude all listed vaccines, you can select Check All. Select Save. To document a vaccination series completion, do the following: Select the menu icon and select Series Completions. The Vaccine Exclusion Form window opens displaying the Series Completion tab. From the Series Not Complete list, select a vaccine and select the right arrow icon to move the v

Record Past COVID-19 Vaccines

You can use the Past Vaccine Entry Form to record vaccinations received outside the practice. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. Select or create an encounter from Encounter History. Open the Immunizations module. Select Historical. Note: If the selected encounter is not created for that day, a message appears prompting you to do one of the following: To select a different encounter, select Cancel, and then select an encounter from the Encounter History tab. To continue with the currently selected encounter, select No. To create an encounter, select Yes. The Past Vaccine Entry Form window opens. To select a vaccine from the past vaccines list, select a date range from the By Category list, and then select a displayed vaccine. To search for a vaccine, do the following: Select Search. Edit or Update Historical Immunizations

You can edit a patient's Historical Immunizations data. Note: To edit vaccine information for locked encounters, you must have the permission set up in System Administrator > Operations > Orders and then selecting the Allow updating Imm Order on Locked Encounter option. On the Immunizations tab toolbar, select Historical. Select the Vaccine Edit tab. All of the patient's past Immunizations display. Note: Columns displayed in gray cannot be changed. To edit information for a past Immunization, select the appropriate column. For example, to change the Immunizations Date, select the appropriate row and select a new date from the calendar or enter the date manually. If you entered data for an Immunizations erroneously, select Entered in Error. To complete the Historical Immunizations entry and save all changes, select Save & Close. View Patient's Immunization Status

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Orders in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the patient's overdue vaccines, that is, vaccine series that are past due, due now, and pending. You can also open the Orders Module for more details on the patient's immunization order history. For more information on immunizations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Immunizations Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
