Load or Update a Test Compendium
Your specific Favorites are set up through File Maintenance. The Orders Management Console is used for loading the compendiums, not Favorites lists.
To handle the view on the Compendium Management window, you can filter what you see (All, lab or radiology). You cannot save when filters are active. You can use the options Keep Mine, Accept Downloaded, Automatic, and Manual on the bottom toolbar to reconcile the downloaded (vendor) compendium data.
- Enter your credentials.
The initial Orders Management Console window opens, and displays a message asking which compendium you want to update. The default compendiums, NextGen and LOINC, appear as options when you start the Orders Management Console.
Each item in the compendium list contains the name of the compendium and the download status. If this is the first time you are running the compendium, the status is Downloaded: Never
After you download a compendium, the status displays the date the compendium was loaded, for example, Downloaded: 05/03/2016.
- Select Download.
If the structure of the downloaded data file cannot be successfully validated, a message appears, showing the error(s), and no further action is taken.
The state of the downloaded items is indicated by different colors.
- To stop importing the compendium at any time, select GoHome
If you try to exit without completing the update, a message appears, stating that any unsaved changes will be lost, and asking you to confirm your action.
- To continue the update, select YES.
- To stop the update, select NO.
The Orders Management Console remembers the last session that was run. If you exit without completing the update, a message appears, asking if you want to resume the previous session.
- To resume the session, select Continue Previous Session.
