Levels of Pediatric Precaution

The medication interaction process displays pediatric precautions according to the display levels set for the system and a specific user.

There are three levels of the Pediatric Precaution:

  • Level 1 - Contraindications. Contraindicated for use in Pediatric patients.
  • Level 2 - Severe Precautions. Precaution is necessary for use with Pediatric patients.
  • Level 3 - Management or Monitoring Precautions. No studies have been done, but warnings exist about use in Pediatric patients.
