The Medication Interactions functionality displays drug-disease contraindications according to the display levels set up for the system and a specific user.
There are three levels of the Drug Disease Contraindications:
- Level 3: Moderate Interactions. Conservative measures are recommended until more is known (little clinical data exists).
- Level 2: Severe Interactions. Assess risk to patient and take action as needed.
- Level 1: Contraindicated Interactions. Action to reduce adverse effect of interaction is usually required.
