Record Vaccine Administration Details

You can record administration details of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Immunization module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. Select or create an encounter from Encounter History. Open the Immunizations module. To create an order, select New. Note: If the selected encounter is not created for that day, a message appears prompting you to do one of the following: To select a different encounter, select Cancel, and then select an encounter from the Encounter History tab. To continue with the currently selected encounter, select No. To create an encounter, select Yes. The Create New Immunization Order for window opens. Select the COVID-19 vaccine from the vaccine inventory. On the Create New Immunization Order for window, select the Vaccine Details tab. Select a lot number from the Lot # list. Record Past COVID-19 Vaccines

You can use the Past Vaccine Entry Form to record vaccinations received outside the practice. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. Select or create an encounter from Encounter History. Open the Immunizations module. Select Historical. Note: If the selected encounter is not created for that day, a message appears prompting you to do one of the following: To select a different encounter, select Cancel, and then select an encounter from the Encounter History tab. Generate a Report of Vaccinated Patients

You can use the NextGen® Enterprise EHR reporting tool to generate a report of vaccinated patients that can be used for tracking purposes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookupwindow. From the File menu, select Reports > Generate Reports > by Practice.The NextGen Report Filter: Patient window opens. Under Settings List, select Orders. To create an immunization report, select Immunization in the Select Order Type list. To find a specific CPT® code for a vaccine, under Select Vaccine, select .The Vaccine Search window opens. On the Vaccine Search window, select a vaccine and select OK. To create a report of vaccinated patients, in the Vaccine Status list, select Include, and Administered. Order a COVID-19 Vaccine

You can order COVID-19 vaccines through the Immunizations module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and then open the Immunizations module. To create an order, select New. The Create New Immunization Order window opens. To select the vaccine from a favorite category, do the following: Select a favorite category from the By Category list. The Select Vaccines section lists vaccines that are included in the selected category. Select a vaccine from the displayed list. To search for a vaccine from the inventory, do the following: Select Search All. The Search Vaccines window opens. Select Search inventory only to restrict the search to the vaccine inventory. Enter the vaccine name, CVX code, CPT4® code, or the CPT4 description, and then select Find. From the displayed list, select a vaccine, and then select OK. Accessing and Reconciling a Patient's Immunizations Data

To help your practice maintain accurate health information, keep immunization schedules current, perform catch up when necessary, and reconcile patients’ imported Immunizations data from registry with their current Immunizations data from the patient chart. By selecting Reconcile on the Immunizations tab, you can open the Clinical Reconciliation module from the Orders module. On the Clinical Reconciliation window, the imported Immunization data from registry and current Immunization data from patient chart display. You can then match registry data to existing NextGen® Enterprise EHR data. Once the match process is complete, you can view the reconciled immunization data on the Orders Summary tab and on the Immunizations Chart/Recommendation view. Replace Action in the Import Section

You can perform the replace action in the Import section. View the Clinical Reconciliation Results tab. Note: For more information on viewing the Clinical Reconciliation Results tab, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. To replace an existing item in the patient’s chart, select Replace. The Select Existing window opens. Select the item in the Existing EHR Data section and select OK. In the EHR section, the Clinical Reconciliation module automatically matches the selected item to its counterpart in the Import section. Note: In the Existing EHR Data section, all the results appear only if the source is C-CDA. Select Confirm. The success message appears and the results appear in the EHR section.
