Set Up Credentials for an External System

The System Password function enables you to set up a user name and password to access an external system (such as a Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ or CardioPerfect® Workstation or Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® software) or enable the System Password trigger. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Main menu, select Admin > System Password. The System Password window appears. From the System list, select the external system. Enter your user name and password required to access the selected external system. Select Save to apply your changes. Select Close to exit the System Password window. Access IEM User Rights

For information on how to access NextGen® applications, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Logon Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. Access System Administrator. Select the appropriate practice and user group in the left pane. Select the Rights tab in right pane. Expand the MODULES folder and then the Equipment folder. A list of equipment reports appears. Select a report to view its current rights and procedures. Set the following user rights as needed: Brentwood reports (this category refers to Midmark devices; Midmark was formerly Brentwood Medical.) Welch Allyn® reports (this category refers to Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ or CardioPerfect® devices) Cardiac Science reports (this category refers to Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® devices that were originally sold by Cardiac Science) GE CardioSoft reports Parent topic: IEM User Rights

User Rights for Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® Reports

The rights and permissions for viewing Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science) reports follow normal rights and permission guidelines except for the Print permission, which is not available. In addition, the Use EHR user for Cardiac Science login universal preference must be set to True in System Administrator and the NextGen® Cardiac Science Verify component must be deployed on the client's HeartCentrix® server. The Integrated Equipment Module enables you to create and view medical device reports within NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
