IEM User Rights

By default, all access rights and permissions for the IEM including individual reports within the IEM are enabled. If required, you can configure these rights and permissions using System Administrator. Setting up rights and permissions for the IEM alone also affects rights and permissions for each report within the IEM. Note: If you disable the View permission for the entire IEM, it also disables access to the IEM for the selected user group and prevents the Equipment trigger on any template from performing an action. Set Up Credentials for an External System

The System Password function enables you to set up a user name and password to access an external system (such as a Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® Diagnostic Cardiology Suite™ or CardioPerfect® Workstation or Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® software) or enable the System Password trigger. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Main menu, select Admin > System Password. The System Password window appears. From the System list, select the external system. Enter your user name and password required to access the selected external system. Select Save to apply your changes. Select Close to exit the System Password window. You can perform tasks for various types of equipment reports, such as generating, viewing, faxing, comparing, and deleting. IEM User Interface Versions Two versions of the Integrated Equipment Module are available to support different levels of Midmark equipment. Acquiring and Viewing Data Collected by Medical Equipment

On the Integrated Equipment Module (IEM), you can acquire and view data collected by medical diagnostic equipment manufactured by Midmark Diagnostics, Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® , Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science), and General Electric. Note: The diagnostic cardiology product line that was originally manufactured byCardiac Science®, was later sold to Mortara Instrument, then Welch Allyn® , then Hillrom™ . This product line includes theBurdick™andQuinton™brands. In this guide, these devices are referred to as " Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science)" devices. When you perform a test, such as an ECG, on a patient using an interfaced medical equipment, the IEM acquires data from the device and can generate a PDF report that can be viewed in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, sent to NextGen® PxP Portal, and viewed in NextGen® Mobile.
