With Healthwise Patient Education installed in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can perform the following: Access Patient Education Browser to search for internal and external patient education material. Perform context-sensitive searches of Healthwise Patient Education and practice defined patient education material in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access Healthwise Knowledgebase through the internal browser. Save patient education material to a patient's chart or a patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. Delete the saved patient education documents on an unlocked encounter in the Encounter History. Open Patient Education Browser You can open the Patient Education Browser window to search for patient education resources. The Healthwise Patient Education Module is a third-party software package used in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. This module enables you to access educational material that covers a variety of health topics that you can print and hand over to patients. Access Internal Patient Education from the Procedures Module

You can use the Resources feature to access internal and external patient education resources in the Procedures module. Internal patient education resources link directly to your Healthwise Patient Education, while there are a number of external resources also available. Education material relate directly to the procedure using the context-sensitive search for the ICD code associated with the procedure. Using the Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module, you can perform context-sensitive search for patient education material with the ICD code reference. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient record. Access a procedure in the patient chart. Right-click the procedure and select Resources. Select Internal Patient Education. The Patient Education Browser window appears with the Search Criteria populated by the ICD code. The age and gender of the patient filter is also updated. Parent topic: Healthwise Patient Education
