Create an eRx Task List Category

Before setting up the task list categories, you must set up the appropriate user rights and permissions. The access rights for the edit task category list permissions is disabled by default in NextGen® Enterprise. Contact your system administrator to modify the user rights and permissions. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the Main menu, select File > Workflow. The Work Flow window opens. Select Setup Tabs from the Tasks menu. Work Flow The Setup Task Tabs window opens. Setup Task Tabs Select Setup Categories. The Task Category List window opens. Task Category List Select Add. Task Category List Enter a name for the category. The category is added to the list. Create an eRx Task List Tab

You can create user-defined tabs in the task list. By creating tabs and then assigning each task to a category, you can view tasks assigned only to a particular category or a group of categories. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the Main menu, select File > Workflow. The Work Flow window opens. Select Setup Tabs from the Tasks menu. Work Flow The Setup Task Tabs window opens. Setup Task Tabs Note: The All Tasks tab is hard-coded and cannot be edited or deleted. You cannot assign task list categories to the All Tasks tab. All available tasks display on the All Tasks tab. Select Add. The <New Tab> opens. Setup Task Tabs Enter a name for the new tab. Assign a specific Task List Category to the tab. Setup Task Tabs Note: Only the tasks assigned to the specific Task List Category display on this tab at run time. If you do not assign any Task List Categories to a tab, all Tasks display on the tab. eRx Workgroup

The Group Tasking feature enables you to associate specific users with workgroups. When users are added to a workgroup, they receive all tasks assigned to the particular workgroup and can accept any of the available tasks. Any task accepted by a user is no longer available in the workgroup. All tasks accepted by a user are always displayed, regardless of the workgroup that the user is signed into. For instance, users may rotate schedules and work for different doctors and departments. When users log on to the system, they may need the ability to associate themselves with an alternate group. Any tasks the user accepted previously remain with the user; however, no tasks assigned to the original workgroup display in the user's Task List. Instead, the tasks associated with the newly chosen workgroup become available for the user to accept. Tasks are not assigned to a user until they are accepted by the user. You can configure eRx workgroups and corresponding task list categories or tabs to optimize the daily workflow of providers and nurses who use Surescripts. Create a task list category and assign it to a provider to display all eRx refill requests in the eRx tab of the task list. Create an eRx workgroup to notify all users of eRx-related tasks in the Workflow module. A task list enables you to create task list categories and associate them with specific task list tabs. Use task list categories and tabs to assign each new task to a specific task list category. The recipients of a new task view it in the particular task list tab associated with the category. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the Main menu, select File > Workflow. The Work Flow window opens. Work Flow In the Tasks pane, select Add. For Task Class, select EHR. The New Task window opens. New Task Select Assign To. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Select Task Recipients Select New Group. TheNew Group window opens. New Group Enter the name and description of the group.
