Encounters in Enterprise Chart

If a patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart, the Encounter History tab displays the patient's encounters from all practices instead of just from the current practice. Enterprise chart encounters have the following characteristics: Encounters that occurred in a different practice are automatically locked. You cannot unlock these encounters. Enterprise Chart Patients

If a patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart, you can view the patient's clinical data across all practices within your enterprise. To view patient data in Enterprise Chart, patients must be enrolled in it. When you enable Enterprise Chart, all existing patients are automatically enrolled. You also have the option to enroll all new patients by default going forward. If you do not select this option when you enable Enterprise Chart, you can later enroll patients individually. If you need to enroll all patients at one time after Enterprise Chart is on, contact NextGen Healthcare Client Support for assistance. Enterprise Chart

Enterprise Chart is an optional feature that enables all practices within an enterprise to share clinical data. Enterprise providers can view a patient's chart in multiple practices at the same time. Preferences and permissions can be set at the system and user level to view the clinical tasks and the Provider Approval Queue in the Workflow module across practices in the enterprise. Enterprise Chart is enabled in Enterprise Preferences in File Maintenance. CAUTION: Enterprise Chart cannot be turned off after it is enabled. If a specific practice should not share enterprise clinical data, you can set that practice up as a separate enterprise. Enterprise Case Versus Practice Case

The following table illustrates the differences between Enterprise Case and regular Case Management functionality: Action Case Management Enterprise Case A new Case is created in Practice A. The Case is named Back Injury. The Back Injury Case is available only in Practice A. Other Practices cannot view the Back Injury Case. The Back Injury Case is available in Practice A, as well as all other Practices within the Enterprise. Practice B modifies information for the Back Injury Case. Practice B cannot view the Back Injury Case and therefore cannot modify the information for the Case. Practice B has to create a new Case and fill out all necessary information. The changes made by Practice B apply to all Practices within the Enterprise. Practice A (as well as any other Practice) is able to view the changes. Practice A enters data on a Case Template.
