Enroll a Patient in Enterprise Chart from the Modify Patient Information Window

If you did not enroll a new patient in Enterprise Chart from the Add Patient Information window, you can enroll the patient manually from the Modify Patient Information window. This option is available in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR, NextGen® Enterprise PM, and NextGen® Optical Management applications. Access the Patient Lookup window. Perform a search for the applicable patient. Select the patient. Do one of the following: Select the Open Menu button, and select Open. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the File menu, select Modify Patient. The Demographics tab of the Modify Patient Information window appears. Select the Enterprise Chart check box. Select OK. The existing patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart. Note: For a patient newly enrolled in Enterprise Chart, you may need to reopen the patient's chart to view information from other practices. Automatically Enroll Patients When Enterprise Chart Is Enabled

Open the General tab of the Enterprise Preferences window. For more information on Enterprise Preferences, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest File Maintenance Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Select the Enterprise chart check box. A confirmation window appears, alerting you that this feature cannot be undone after it is turned on. To enable Enterprise Chart, select Yes. Note: All existing patients are automatically enrolled in Enterprise Chart when you enable it. A window appears, with the option to enroll patients by default. To enroll all new patients in the future, select Yes. The system automatically selects the Enroll Patients in Enterprise Chart check box. You can manually clear this check box later if you change your mind or made a mistake. Enterprise Chart Patients

If a patient is enrolled in Enterprise Chart, you can view the patient's clinical data across all practices within your enterprise. To view patient data in Enterprise Chart, patients must be enrolled in it. When you enable Enterprise Chart, all existing patients are automatically enrolled. You also have the option to enroll all new patients by default going forward. If you do not select this option when you enable Enterprise Chart, you can later enroll patients individually. If you need to enroll all patients at one time after Enterprise Chart is on, contact NextGen Healthcare Client Support for assistance. Add Person Information in Nextgen Enterprise EHR

You can add a person on the Add Person Information window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > New > Person. The People Lookup window opens. Select New. The Add Person Information window opens. Add Person Information window Enter the details in the required fields that appear in red color and any additional information you want to include for the person. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and NextGen® Optical Management, you can add a patient on the Add Patient Information window. A person becomes a patient after you add a chart to the person's profile on the Add Patient Information window. To access the Patient Information window: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, go to Step 2. You can add a person on the Add Person Information window in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Add Patient Information window, a person becomes a patient after you add a Chart. To open the Person Information window from NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Lookup.
