Electronic Signatures on Patient Documents
Using electronic signatures enables you to verify the integrity of a patient document. NextGen® Enterprise EHR provides two types of electronic signatures on patient documents:
- An electronic signature can be captured for the user, provider, patient, or other entity and then inserted into a printed patient document manually. This feature works with both HighEdit and TX Text documents in either the HighEdit or TX Text viewer.
- The provider signature is automatically added to patient documents approved in the PAQ. This feature works with both HighEdit and TX Text documents in either the HighEdit or TX Text viewer.
