Disable the Display of the Immunization Registry Tab

When accessing Immunization schedules, the Registry tab automatically appears. If your practice is not currently accessing data from registries, you can disable the display of this tab. Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences. Clear the Show Registry History and Forecast tab check box. Select OK at the bottom of the Imm tab. Hiding Pediatric Vaccines Recommendations for Adult Patients

You can hide pediatric vaccine recommendations from displaying for adult patients over 18 years of age. When you select this practice preference, the Immunizations module displays the following information. The Chart View displays: All vaccines on a patient's chart (pediatric or adult) All vaccines recommended for adults only (up until patient's age) Status of adult vaccines only The Recommendation View displays: All vaccines recommended for adults only Status of adult vaccines only The Create New Immunization Order window displays: All vaccines set up in the Vaccine favorites (in File Maintenance) Status of adult vaccines only. Note: For the Tdap vaccine only, the system does not consider the Ignore Pediatric Recommendation for Adults practice preference when calculating the Tdap Immunization status for adults or patients 11 years of age and older. Select the Default VIS Category

You can select your practice's default VIS category so that you can view a patient's VIS documents by selecting the default category on the Categories tab. Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences. Select the VIS category from the Default VIS Category list. Select OK at the bottom of the Imm tab. Set Up Patient Confirmation during Immunization Query

When you perform an immunization query on the Registry tab, the system displays the patient immunization history from the selected registry. You can choose to confirm the patient demographics before the registry information appears.This setting applies to both immunization history and immunization forecast queries. Access the Immunizations Practice Preferences. Select the Require Patient Confirmation for Immunization Query check box. Select OK at the bottom of the Imm tab. In File Maintenance, select System > Practices > Preferences. The Practices List window opens. Locate and then double-click your practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Vaccine Dose Validation

The Enable Vaccine Dose Validation practice preference helps the provider and other clinical staff determine the best schedule for administering immunizations to complete a patient’s vaccine series. This practice preference enables the system to verify if a dose interval for an administered immunization is valid. If an immunization was administered before the minimum dose interval, the system marks this dose as an exception, and displays this notification on the Chart tab for the specific vaccine. With the Enable Vaccine Dose Validation practice preference selected, you can also use the Disable Adult Dose Validation practice preference to control validation of the intervals between vaccine doses given to patients at 18 years of age or older. If you select this preference, the intervals between vaccines you administer to an adult patient are not evaluated for validity.
