Delete Test Orders

You can delete test orders, including those with results. Each test order shows a Result Status, such as Sent or Pending. If a test was ordered and results were received, the Result Status is displayed as Final, or one of the list of legal statuses.

  1. Open the Orders Summary tab in the Orders module.
  2. Select the test order to delete.
  3. On the Orders Summary Top toolbar, select Delete.
    If you delete an order that already has results posted for it, a confirmation message appears.
    • To confirm the deletion, select Yes.

      Any new results for the deleted order are moved to the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager.

    The test is deleted and no longer appears in the orders list.
