Cancel Test Orders

When you cancel an order, you can automatically notify the performing entity if the vendor accepts electronic cancelation messages. If a vendor does not accept electronic notification of a cancelation, you can call the vendor and then record the cancelation in the Orders module.

  1. Open the Orders Summary tab in the Orders Module.
  2. Select the test order you want to cancel.
  3. On the Orders Summary Top toolbar, select Cancel.
    The Cancel Order window opens.

  4. In the Cancel comment box, enter the reason you are canceling the test, using up to 255 characters. If you If you enter more than 255 characters, the extra characters are automatically truncated.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To cancel the order and notify the vendor, select Cancel Order & Send.

      To view if the cancelled order was sent successfully or failed, hover over the Cancelled status in the NextGen Status column.

    • To cancel the order without sending a cancelation message to the vendor, select Cancel Order.
    The system updates the NextGen Status to Cancelled.
