Store Report PDFs on Categories Tab

If equipment report PDFs are saved to encounters, you can arrange for the reports to also appear in selected categories on the Categories tab. In the Integrated Equipment module, select the settings icon. In the Settings window, select one or more categories, and select Save. Settings Window Note: If you do not select any categories or if you clear all previously selected categories, then equipment reports PDFs are no longer saved to the Categories tab. However, the PDFs are still saved to the encounters on the Encounter History tab. After equipment report PDFs are appeared in categories, you can always move them to different categories by clicking document options on each report and selecting Recategorize. Send Equipment Report PDFs to NextGen® PxP Portal

For patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can send equipment report PDFs to the portal from a patient's chart on the Encounter History tab. Perform a patient lookup. Select a patient who is enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. A list of the patient's encounters displays on the Encounter History tab. Locate the Encounter that contains the equipment report PDF you want to export. Select the encounter and select the button. Select the item you want to export, and select the button. Select the Send to Patient Portal. The Patient Portal Document Export window appears. Perform any one of the following: In the Comment box, enter your comments, using up to a maximum of 1,000 characters. Insert a standard response from the Standard Responses pane, and either drag it into the Comment box or double-click it. If required, you can edit the response or right-click in the right pane to insert practice or person/patient information (for example, the name or address field). Note: Standard responses

Attaching Equipment Report PDFs

You can configure the NextGen Enterprise EHR Equipment Reports module to automatically attach a Midmark, Hillrom Welch Allyn, or Hillrom HeartCentrix (former Cardiac Science) report in PDF format to a patient encounter when the equipment report is acquired or modified, therefore keeping the report PDF in-sync with the equipment report. You can control this feature with the Equipment > Store PDF Report on Equipment Report Modify option in System Administrator Universal Preferences. Equipment report PDFs can be saved only for Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science), Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® , and Midmark equipment reports. PDFs cannot be saved for GE® CardioSoft equipment reports. Optionally, you can configure the Integrated Equipment module to also save equipment report PDFs in categories on the Categories tab. Delete an Encounter

Before you begin Ensure that the Rights > Operations > Encounters > Delete Patient Encounter in System Administrator is set to True and the necessary access rights are enabled. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can only delete encounters that do not have any templates, documents, images, or patient items attached to them. You cannot delete an existing encounter that contains patient data. Encounters created through an existing interface with your practice management system cannot be deleted regardless of whether patient data has been added to the encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Delete Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® Reports

Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science) reports are stored in the Cardiac Science database, while references to the reports are stored in NextGen® database. As a result, you must delete the report and associated references from both places. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the IEM grid, select any Cardiac Science report and select View Report. A Cardiac Science report opens. In either Edit or Edit Demographics modes, select the Options menu on the Main toolbar and choose Delete Test. Note: Deleting a report prevents a user from accessing a test. The test is still stored in HeartCentrix® and can be reactivated with assistance from HeartCentrix® Technical Support. With the same report selected in the IEM grid, select the Red X(Delete) button on the top toolbar.A confirmation message appears. Select Yes to confirm the deletion. Create Midmark ECG Reports

Before you begin Before you start recording, ensure that the equipment is connected to the PC. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient chart and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the Acquire Report list, select Midmark ECG. The live ECG window opens. Recording runs for 10 seconds and then stops. Select your name in the Reviewed By list. Analyze the clinical data in the report. Select Save to save the report and return to the Equipment Reports pane in EHR. A new Midmark Resting ECG report appears in the IEM grid and an (Equipment Report) indicator appears in the History toolbar under the encounter. Note: If the Store PDF Report on Equipment Report Modify Universal Preference is enabled, a PDF of the equipment report is generated and attached to the patient's encounter in the History toolbar.
