Send Equipment Report PDFs to NextGen® PxP Portal

For patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can send equipment report PDFs to the portal from a patient's chart on the Encounter History tab. Perform a patient lookup. Select a patient who is enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. A list of the patient's encounters displays on the Encounter History tab. Locate the Encounter that contains the equipment report PDF you want to export. Select the encounter and select the button. Select the item you want to export, and select the button. Select the Send to Patient Portal. The Patient Portal Document Export window appears. Perform any one of the following: In the Comment box, enter your comments, using up to a maximum of 1,000 characters. Insert a standard response from the Standard Responses pane, and either drag it into the Comment box or double-click it. If required, you can edit the response or right-click in the right pane to insert practice or person/patient information (for example, the name or address field). Note: Standard responses

Delete an Equipment Report PDF from an Encounter

When an equipment report is deleted, the PDF report that is attached to the patient's encounter is also deleted. However, if you attempt to delete the report approximately five minutes after it was generated, the PDF report is retained to ensure that important clinical information is not lost. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. (For more information on selecting a patient, see the NextGen®Enterprise EHR Help.) On the Encounter History tab, expand the encounter containing the equipment report that you want to delete (for example, a Midmark Spirometry Report). The selected report appears. From the Edit menu, select Delete. Note: If you attempt to delete the report approximately five minutes after it was generated, the PDF report is retained and the Delete button becomes inactive. Attaching Equipment Report PDFs

You can configure the NextGen Enterprise EHR Equipment Reports module to automatically attach a Midmark, Hillrom Welch Allyn, or Hillrom HeartCentrix (former Cardiac Science) report in PDF format to a patient encounter when the equipment report is acquired or modified, therefore keeping the report PDF in-sync with the equipment report. You can control this feature with the Equipment > Store PDF Report on Equipment Report Modify option in System Administrator Universal Preferences. Equipment report PDFs can be saved only for Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® (former Cardiac Science), Hillrom™ Welch Allyn® , and Midmark equipment reports. PDFs cannot be saved for GE® CardioSoft equipment reports. Optionally, you can configure the Integrated Equipment module to also save equipment report PDFs in categories on the Categories tab. Add a Document to a Category

Before you begin You must have the necessary user rights to add a document to a category. You can categorize your documents in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. When you are adding a document initially to an encounter, you can add it to certain categories. If you are adding a document with an existing document name for the encounter, you can not assign, change, or add the document to the categories. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To open the Documents module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Documents icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Document. The Generate Document window opens displaying the available documents. Open the Integrated Equipment Module

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient, and then create an encounter or open an unlocked encounter. Do one of the following: From the Main toolbar, select File > Summary > Equipment. From the Encounter History tab, if an encounter contains any equipment reports, select the equipment report icon. The Equipment Reports pane appears. Document Selection Overview

The Generate Document window opens when you open the Documents module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. It enables you to locate and select documents and generation options. The window contains the following components: Organize Documents Button You can select Organize Documents button to open the Organize document folders window. Folders Section The Folders section displays the system-supplied and user-defined folders.
