Create Summary of Services

You can create a summary of services for a patient in the Superbill module.
  1. Select procedures.
  2. Select modifiers.
  3. Select an available diagnosis or add a diagnosis.
  4. Select a payer.
  5. Save the summary of services.
  6. After you select a procedure, problem, modifier, and payer, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar.
    All of the information is stored in the database. Moreover, NextGen® Enterprise automatically imports the selected data into the NextGen® Enterprise PM or your billing system.
  7. To edit data in the Assigned Procedures area, select a field to display a list.
  8. If you make changes, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar again.
    All of the changes are updated throughout NextGen® Enterprise, carried over into the NextGen® Enterprise PM, and entered in your billing system.

    Information is automatically sent from Superbill into your billing system. However, Superbill does not import information from your billing system. If you enter information through your billing system, you must re-enter the information into NextGen® Enterprise through Superbill.

    If you must provide your patient with a summary printout of services, the Superbill module enables you to generate printable reports through separate report-generating software.
